In honor of National Tell a Story Day Bella and I hosted the  Magic of Children’s Authors!   We gathered with three other authors who read their books and shared a piece of their journey with us.  Here is a recap of the amazing authors that joined us.

Brenda Cortez- Author of Howl Helps Others

Brenda E. Cortez was born and raised in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a living kidney donor to another mom in need, which is what inspired her to write her first book about donation. Brenda is the creator of Howl the Owl and his special message of “Help Others With Love”, and she is also the author of the Howl the Owl book series.

In addition to children’s books, Brenda enjoys helping others share their stories. She shared her own journey from living kidney donor to author in her chapter in “Because of Organ Donation”, where she also invited 24 others to also share their organ donation story. In “Voices-19”, Brenda shares 19 stories of loved ones lost too soon to keep their memories alive.

Brenda also specializes in book coaching, developmental editing, and publishing.

Brenda loves visiting schools and other venues to share her special message of Help Others With Love – HOWL! She speaks on a number of empowering topics including organ donation facts and statistics, kindness, helping others, and reading and writing for young authors.

Kathleen Williams- Author of Lila and the Voice

Kathleen Williams was a potential seeker turned purpose seeker to Re-Present Christ. Kathleen has always had a love for children. From teaching to wanting to open her own school, Kathleen felt on her heart in 2021 to write a series of children’s stories based on the Bible. Knowing and learning about God and Christ her entire life, it wasn’t until the age of 40 she truly began to understand the word.

Based on the teachings of Transformation Church, Kathleen felt inspired to share what she was learning with others. Not wanting them to have to wait their entire lives to learn the truth and in a way for them to understand, Kathleen Williams went ahead with the series.

Writing has given Kathleen so much joy and she looks forward to writing every book each child and family will read and enjoy.

Vincent Rocco Fabbiano- Author of Super Adventures of Mini Vinny and Little Man

Vincent Rocco Fabbiano is a children’s book author from Buffalo, NY. He currently resides in Tampa, FL with two children (3 ,5) and his wife, Swapna. During a long career in finance, becoming a husband and father inspired him to discover his more creative side and create literary works that his family could share for a lifetime and pass down to future generations.
