My name is Bella and I am a two-year-old elephant. I decided to start creating these diary entries with the help of Miss Kristina to share my feelings and thoughts. I really enjoy being a toddler but some days are tough. I am learning to communicate with my words, develop my coordination and motor skills, and express my feelings. I have my good days as well as my bad days. I love receiving hugs, watching my Mommy cook dinner, and twirling in my dresses. I look forward to sharing more adventures with you.
Message from Bella’s Mom
My name is Linda and I am Bella’s Mom. I have always dreamed of being a Mom and it is everything I want it to be and more. Although I feel some much joy, some days are tricky. Bella has my eyes and so much of my personality but then is so different from me in other ways. She has a sense of creativity and curiosity that I am never recall having as a child. Sometimes I fear that I will not l know how to nurture her appetite for this endless fountain of creativity as she grows.
I selfishly want to stop time and remain in this present moment. This way she will always be my little girl who lets me dress her up each day and put bows in her hair. (Bob, my husband, teases me constantly for dressing her up regardless of the occasion. ) My little girl who explores my cabinets with joy, plays dresses up in my cloths, and tinkers with her toys happily on the kitchen floor while I cook dinner. I truly want to be the best Mom I can be and protect her from the harms of the world. My dream is to raise her to be a responsible young woman who can take care of the next generation when it is her turn.
